Zoals de meesten van jullie wel weten wonen wij in een oude boerderij. Een prachtig groot pand dat een klein stuk van de grote weg afligt. Het is rustig wonen en makkelijk te bereiken voor alle mensen die ons nodig hebben. En dat zijn er nogal wat, gezien de groothandel van mijn man. ( Lees column soeplullen!)
Natuurlijk doet hij dat niet alleen, sinds enkele maanden werkt hij met een vaste groep mensen, leuk en gezellig. Voor een poos terug kreeg een van hen het verzoek wat afvalhout te verbranden.
De goede man liep naar onze vrijliggende achterplaats, pakte een grote metalen korf, deponeerde daar het hout in en zette voor de veiligheid twee emmers water ernaast. Geen vuiltje aan de lucht zou je zeggen, geen mens die het stoorde en zag. Goed een stukje verder achterdoor liggen huizen die vanuit de tuin vrij zicht op die plaats hebben. Schijnbaar was een van die bewoners thuis en verveelde zich, in elk geval hij zag het. En inderdaad, want net toen hij goed en wel bezig was stond er ineens een keurig geüniformeerde heer voor zijn neus. Hij stelde zich netjes voor en vertelde dat hij een buitengewoon opsporingsambtenaar was (BOA).
Tja, en toen was het prijs. ‘’Mijnheer U weet toch dat zoiets verboden is?’’
‘’Ja, maar dit brandje stelt écht niets voor, trouwens ik sta erbij en heb het onder controle, zei hij wijzend naar de twee emmers water.’’
‘’Dat maakt niet uit, het is en blijft verboden bij de wet.’’
‘’Goed, ik begrijp het en zal het uitmaken.’’
‘’Te laat, U hoort hier nog van, Goede middag!’’
En ja hoor, de volgende dag al moest mijn man zich ’s ochtends vroeg om acht uur melden op het gemeentehuis. Daar werd een proces verbaal opgemaakt voor het plegen van een economisch delict. Acht weken later viel er een schikking bij ons in de brievenbus.
Een schikking van maar liefst 650 euro, plús 7 euro administratie kosten!!
Veel gekker moet het niet meer worden! Moet je een boete betalen, krijg je er ook nog administratie kosten bij!
Over krom gesproken, soms valt me niks meer in. Als de zon schijnt en het lekker warm is zit half Nederland in de tuin achter de barbecue, fikkie stoken in je eigen tuin. Geen mens die er zich aan stoort, het brandje hier achterom was even groot, maar met dat verschil dat er geen vlees op het afvalhout lag!
Tja, als we dat van te voren geweten hadden, hadden we dat natuurlijk gedaan. Dat had een heleboel geld gespaard.
Weet je wat we het liefs met de rekening gedaan hadden? Inderdaad, gewoon in de fik gestoken, maar dat hebben we maar niet gedaan. Anders waren we échte criminelen geweest. Nu zijn we neppers.
Dus bij deze een tip, mocht je afvalhout willen verbranden in je tuin, leg er maar vlees op. Dat mag wel.
En die pet, die ons allemaal past, mogen ze wat ons betreft in een klein donker klein plekje stoppen. Ze bekijken het maar, ga lekker boeven vangen!

Volgende keer leg je er wat aardappels op om te poffen, of nodig alle buren uit. Soms is het toch heeeel krom
Wat flauw van die BOA ambtenaar en ook niet echt netjes van diegene die dit gemeld heeft. Die had ook wel even naar jullie toe kunnen komen en zeggen wat hem of haar dwars zat.
Sommige mensen hebben nu eenmaal niets beters te doen dan zich te bemoeien met andermans zaken.. ik hoop dat de goede buur op een frisse zomeravond dan ook een keer de vuurkorf zal aansteken 😉
